Civil Engineering
The Department of Civil Engineering, Urmia University of Technology, which started its postgraduate education activities in 2009 with a quantitative and qualitative approach, is one of the graduate units of this university, which is currently committed to one of the first specialized training units in the field of postgraduate education. The vision of these efforts is to formulate a diverse set of master's theses, many of which have a very strong applied or theoretical background and are written in articles in internal and external journals.
Faculty of Civil Engineering
The Department of Civil Engineering, Urmia University of Technology, which started its postgraduate education program in 2009 with a quantitative and qualitative development approach, is one of the graduate units of this university that currently has two major trends in Structural engineering and earthquake engineering, as well as Bachelor of Civil Engineering focuses on the training of specialist and dedicated personnel.
Currently, the group's management is Dr. Erfan Shafei and currently there are five full-time faculty members active in the educational and research activities of the partnership group.
The vision of these efforts is to formulate a diverse set of master's and undergraduate theses, many of which have a very practical or theoretical subject matter, and can be registered as papers in internal and international journals.
Geotechnical Research Center
Center introduction
In implementing the transformation in the structure of educational activities, research and operations of Urmia University of Technology in order to optimally use the facilities of the laboratory and to empower the knowledge-based systems of the university and turn it into an efficient, dynamic, self-sufficient and inclusive organization with trust in Allah Almighty and Inspired by the guidelines of the Supreme Leader in the year "National Production of Iranian Work and Capital Protection", the Geotechnical Research Center and the University of Building Materials Laboratory began its work.
The subject of the Knowledge Base is the following:
- conducting research and implementation of geotechnical studies and conducting soil, stone, building materials, materials testing tests including academic research projects, students, provincial development projects of state executive agencies, private executives, designers, consulting engineers, contractors of industrial groups, Professional associations and engineering services.
- Providing educational services for practical units of Urmia University of Technology and providing educational services to practical units of other universities or educational centers, governmental and private institutions and organizations.
- Training of experts and technicians in order to provide the necessary training center.
- To conduct business affairs in relation to the subject of the Center.
- Designing and manufacturing of required devices and equipment in relation to the subject of the Center.
Center goals
- Achieving scientific self-sufficiency and realizing the ideals of the Islamic Republic's holy system and Supreme Leader in the year of national production for supporting Iranian labor and capital.
- Creation of transformation in the structure of activities of knowledge systems of Urmia University of Technology.
- Encourage human resource to become more active in the workforce.
- Become the center of an efficient, dynamic and self-sufficient organization and extend its activities to the engineering community, executive agencies and development projects.
- Improvement of the level of standards and quality control operations in the construction and development projects of the region using standard laboratory equipment and attendance in the development activities of private government agencies, trade unions, consulting engineers and so on.
- Manufacturing and / or purchasing laboratory equipment and facilities and supplying the required human resources to the center, with the help of the revenue from the operation of the center and interaction with other parts of Urmia University of Technology.
